Peterson Insurance Group has been part of the Weaverville community since 2001. We’re a local, independent agency. We pride ourselves on friendly, personal customer service – we answer the phones and accept walk ins and know our clients. Our clients know us by name, and a lot of them walk through the door just to say hello.
We need another good person on the team. If you’ve got a few years of insurance experience and enjoy hospitality, keep reading.
The Role
You’ll handle personal and commercial accounts—quoting, binding, renewals, claims help, the full picture.
Some days you’re on the phone walking someone through a policy change; other days you’re greeting a
client who just stopped by. It’s a mix of everything.
What You Bring

✓ Active NC Property & Casualty license; Life or Medicare license? Even better—but not required.
✓ Comfortable with agency management systems and good computer skills, typing, etc. (reword this)
✓ A friendly attitude and enjoy meeting people. We like to make our clients feel welcome.
What You Get
✓ $52,000 - $70,000, depending on experience
✓ Monday–Friday, 9–5. No weekends. Paid holidays.
✓ Health, dental, vision, and life insurance after 90 days

✓ A team that works together and is friendly
Why Peterson
We’re not corporate. You’ll work with a team that has worked together for years and that takes care of clients the way you’d want to be taken care of. The dress code is business casual, the coffee is always on.
Weaverville is a great town—ten minutes north of Asheville with small town charm that is welcoming and friendly. If you’re looking for a place where your work matters and people remember your name, this is it.
