Stom Peterson spent over a decade working in the insurance industry before deciding to open his own agency in 2001. He wanted something different — an agency that was small enough to know every client by name but experienced enough to handle anything that came through the door.
He brought his daughter Eirene on board from the start. She's been managing operations, writing policies, and building relationships with clients ever since. Today, Eirene runs the agency as the principal agent — experienced in all lines, with 20+ years of experience, and deeply connected to the community she serves.
Peterson Insurance is a woman-owned business. Eirene leads a team of five, and together we handle your insurance needs in a friendly, personable setting. The artwork on the walls? That's Eirene's — she's a painter and potter, and you can find her work in shops in Weaverville.
